Full Hollywood
Professional, discreet, lasting.
Full hollywood coverage — the no-regrowth option a lot of clients wish they'd started years earlier. Private, professional, and handled with complete discretion. The x5 course is the standard recommendation for permanence.
What to expect.
Under 10 minutes of active treatment. The sharpest laser sensation of any area, but brief — Jas works quickly and professionally, and the short total time makes it manageable. Full privacy; you're draped except for the area being treated. Wear loose cotton underwear afterwards.
Results timeline.
Visible shedding 7–14 days after session one. Most clients notice dramatic thinning by session three, and the course delivers near-permanent reduction. Hormone sensitivity varies — some clients stay completely clear after the course; others want annual top-ups. The honest conversation happens at consultation, not after the fifth session.
Questions, answered.
Does it hurt?
Full Hollywood feels like a warm rubber band flicking the skin — enough to notice, not enough to dread. Most clients read their phone through it. The sensation is briefest on fine-hair areas (upperlip, chin); slightly more on dense or coarser patches. Jas cools the skin in passes, so by session two or three most clients find it easier than the first, as the hair thins and the device needs less energy to target what remains.
Can I book if I've been in the sun or on a sunbed?
No — and this matters. Active tan (from sun, sunbed, or gradual self-tan) changes how the laser reads the skin and risks burns or pigmentation. You need four weeks clear of UV exposure and two weeks clear of fake tan before Full Hollywood. If you're booked and your skin has changed since the consultation, message Jas before the appointment — rescheduling costs nothing, a burn costs months of recovery.
How many sessions do I actually need, and why the x5 course?
Hair grows in three phases — only one (anagen) is laser-responsive. That's why single sessions thin rather than clear, and why 4–6 weeks between sessions matches the cycle for most skin types. The x5 course (£320) is priced for the number of sessions that gets Full Hollywood to near-permanent reduction for most clients. Some people need a touch-up at 18–24 months; others don't. You can always start with a single session (£70) to see how your skin responds before committing.
Are there medications that rule me out?
A short list. Roaccutane / isotretinoin requires a 6-month gap after your last dose. Certain antibiotics (tetracyclines) and photosensitising herbal supplements (St John's Wort) raise burn risk — pause for two weeks before a session, or reschedule. Blood thinners, hormone treatments, and most prescription medications are fine; Jas will ask you through a short health form at the consultation and flag anything relevant. Bring your current medication list to the first appointment.
Does my menstrual cycle affect bikini or hollywood session timing?
Yes — book the first half of your cycle (post-period to mid-cycle) when skin sensitivity is at its lowest. Pre-menstrual sessions tend to feel sharper because skin is more reactive. Jas won't refuse mid-cycle, but most clients schedule around their period for comfort. If your cycle is irregular or you're on hormonal contraception that suppresses bleeding, book whenever's convenient — the discomfort difference disappears once your skin settles into a consistent baseline.
I'm nervous about a hollywood session — what's the actual experience?
Jas performs hollywood and bikini sessions hundreds of times a year — there's nothing she hasn't seen, and the room is fully private throughout. Positioning is matter-of-fact; you're draped except for the area being treated. The session itself is under ten minutes of active treatment. Most clients find the first session is the only nervous one; from session two onwards it's a routine appointment they barely think about. Many clients book it together with another area to make it 'just part of the appointment.'
Can I have Full Hollywood during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Jas pauses laser hair removal during pregnancy. There's no clinical evidence the laser harms a baby, but hormone-driven hair changes during pregnancy mean the work doesn't stick — you'd be paying for sessions whose results post-birth bodies undo. Breastfeeding is fine for most areas; flag it at booking. The right plan for most pregnant clients is to pause now and book a course post-weaning when results will hold.
