What to expect.

About 20–25 minutes. Mild sensation throughout — upper arms are the easiest, forearms can be slightly sharper near the inner wrist. Shave the night before; come with clean skin and loose sleeves.

Results timeline.

Shedding visible 7–14 days after session one. By session five, most clients see near-permanent reduction with hair that's finer and lighter where regrowth persists. Arms hold results well; a maintenance session every 18–24 months is typical.

Session spacing:4–6 weeks

Questions, answered.

Does it hurt?

Full Arms feels like a warm rubber band flicking the skin — enough to notice, not enough to dread. Most clients read their phone through it. The sensation is briefest on fine-hair areas (upperlip, chin); slightly more on dense or coarser patches. Jas cools the skin in passes, so by session two or three most clients find it easier than the first, as the hair thins and the device needs less energy to target what remains.

Can I book if I've been in the sun or on a sunbed?

No — and this matters. Active tan (from sun, sunbed, or gradual self-tan) changes how the laser reads the skin and risks burns or pigmentation. You need four weeks clear of UV exposure and two weeks clear of fake tan before Full Arms. If you're booked and your skin has changed since the consultation, message Jas before the appointment — rescheduling costs nothing, a burn costs months of recovery.

How many sessions do I actually need, and why the x5 course?

Hair grows in three phases — only one (anagen) is laser-responsive. That's why single sessions thin rather than clear, and why 4–6 weeks between sessions matches the cycle for most skin types. The x5 course (£400) is priced for the number of sessions that gets Full Arms to near-permanent reduction for most clients. Some people need a touch-up at 18–24 months; others don't. You can always start with a single session (£90) to see how your skin responds before committing.

Are there medications that rule me out?

A short list. Roaccutane / isotretinoin requires a 6-month gap after your last dose. Certain antibiotics (tetracyclines) and photosensitising herbal supplements (St John's Wort) raise burn risk — pause for two weeks before a session, or reschedule. Blood thinners, hormone treatments, and most prescription medications are fine; Jas will ask you through a short health form at the consultation and flag anything relevant. Bring your current medication list to the first appointment.

I'm planning a sunny holiday — when should I book sessions around it?

Plan to finish your last session at least four weeks before sun exposure, and book the next session four weeks after returning. Direct sun on freshly-treated skin causes pigmentation that lingers for months. Realistic example: holiday in July → sessions through April-June, pause, resume in late August. Jas can map your course timing around any travel dates at consultation — bring the dates and she'll schedule backwards.

Will I be done with shaving in time for summer, a wedding, or a holiday?

Plan backwards from the date. Full Arms delivers visible results from session two and substantial reduction by session four. For summer-ready legs, start the course in February-March; for a July wedding, start in January. The x5 course spans 5-7 months at proper 4–6 weeks spacing. Don't rush the spacing — close-together sessions reduce results because hair cycles haven't caught up. Jas can plan your timeline backwards from your event at consultation.

I run, cycle, or do yoga — does laser affect any of that?

Athletic women find Full Arms simplifies training significantly. No more shave maintenance before yoga shorts season, no more compression-gear ingrown hair on legs from tight kit, no more last-minute shaving the night before a race. The x5 course at £400 pays back fastest for active women — five sessions and you stop thinking about leg hair entirely. Pause sessions during peak training blocks (sweat irritation post-laser is real) and resume in off-weeks; Jas can schedule around your race calendar.
